At your one month appointment, you were 8lbs 11oz! After much effort from both of us, we were able to switch back to just breastfeeding when you were about 3 weeks old. Dr. Jones thought you needed to gain a little more weight, though, so we added in 2 bottles of formula per day, and when we went back to the dr. a week later, you were up to 9lbs 6oz! Dr. Jones then said maybe we didn't need those extra bottles after all :)
Your stats at 1 month:
Weight: 8 lbs 11 oz (25%)
Length : 23 1/2" (>95%... you're so long! Will you be tall like you're daddy one day?)
You've had lots of visitors! Your granddad Papi came to see you and your great grandmother Memama came too!
And 2 of your lady friends have come to play with you too! Miss Delilah and your friend Piper! It won't be long until you're as big as they are!
Here you are with your new little friend, Joyner, at his Sip & See. He's just 2 weeks younger than you are!
You also had your 1st overnight trip away from home the weekend of Mother's Day. We drove to Sulphur Springs to see your DD and your Aunt Kobie and kids. You did so great in the car on the way home (only 20-30 minutes of crying each way :)), but you weren't a big fan of not sleeping in your own house. You decided to stay awake most of the night!
Andrew, you love to be carried! Your daddy and I have spent many afternoons and evenings with you in the baby carrier. Sometimes it seems like this is the only way you can relax and get some rest.
You love to go on walks, but sometimes you get tired of being in your stroller and your daddy has to carry you home while you look around the neighborhood.
You seem to like sitting up in your bumbo chair around 7 weeks old and you're not fan of tummy time, even when daddy tries to do it with you...
Here you are at your 1st trip to the golf course and the grocery store!
Mommy had such a special Mother's Day because of you! You make my life so wonderful and I'm so thankful that God chose me to be your mommy!
Your dad and I aren't the best at keeping up with your sleeping schedule, but I think you're doing amazing at learning how to sleep at night. At 6 weeks, you slept for 6 hours straight! wow! Mommy felt so rested! Then you went back to sleeping just 3-4 hours at night. When you were about 8 weeks old, you slept another 6 hours for us, and we're hoping you can keep it up! Your tummy has been hurting you lately, so we decided to switch to Sensitive Formula to see if you feel better. We've been on formula for 2 days, and you seem to feel a little better.
We love you SO very much, sweet boy! Next week is your 2 month checkup, and we can't wait to see how much you've grown!
